Lealman Innovation Academy began implementing restorative practices in an effort to be proactive and to increase a culture of learning.  One such practice is the Restorative Circle.  The Learning Support Specialists and School Counselors will begin facilitating Restorative Circles to build stronger learner/staff relationships and strengthen the school community.  Restorative Circles give the learner and the staff an opportunity to speak and listen to one another in an atmosphere of safety and equality.  Learners will be more motivated, productive and happy when the staff at the school do things with them rather than to them.  For more information, visit www.iirp.edu/what-is-restorative-practices.
