Mrs. Leza Fatolitis

Message from Principal Fatolitis

It is a true honor to serve as the Principal of Tarpon Springs High School—a place that holds deep personal significance for me as a proud alumna of the Class of 1991.

My journey in education began at St. Petersburg Junior College and continued at Florida State University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Development. I later pursued a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction at Nova Southeastern University and returned in 2005 to complete an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership (K–12).

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles that have shaped my perspective and passion for education. From teaching preschool in Tarpon Springs and substitute teaching in Pinellas County Schools, to teaching 4th grade at Garrison-Jones Elementary and working with adult learners pursuing their Child Development Associate credentials, each experience has deepened my commitment to student success.

My administrative journey began as Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Safety Harbor Middle School, followed by seven incredible years as Assistant Principal at Tarpon Springs High School. In October 2015, I was humbled and proud to be named Principal of TSHS.

Outside of school, I cherish time with my husband, Peter, our daughter, Maria, and our two dogs, Winston and Charlotte. We enjoy traveling, camping, exploring the outdoors, watching sports, and hosting gatherings with family and friends.

Tarpon Springs High School is a true gem—home to talented staff, respectful and engaged students, supportive families, and a community that stands beside us. Our school continues to grow, evolve, and shine brighter each year. I am proud to lead such a vibrant and caring community school and look forward to coming to work each day.

My commitment remains unwavering: to provide our students and staff with the best possible school experience, the tools they need to thrive, and the support they deserve as we work together toward our shared goal of 100% student success.

A note from Mr. Martin Guevara, Assistant Principal

With over 18 years of experience in education, I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal, where I am committed to supporting our students, teachers, and families every step of the way. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), followed by a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Lynn University—both of which have shaped my approach to leadership and learning.

Outside of school, I find balance and focus through longboarding and martial arts. These activities not only keep me active but also help me stay grounded and centered. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is building strong connections within our school and local community.

Living and working here is truly meaningful to me. I’m proud to be part of a place where relationships matter and where I can make a positive impact in the lives of our students every day.
