Storytelling Camp

  • Writers Camp

    CAMP FULL

During the week, campers will be immersed in daily oral storytelling. The camp follows a consistent routine, introducing campers to a storytelling circle and oral rehearsal through daily oral storytelling. Teachers guide students in composing, telling, and practicing story structures, with daily campfire gatherings for reciting and listening to stories. Listening games, interactive read-aloud sessions, and group discussions punctuate each day, culminating in students choosing a story to share and take to print on the final day of camp.
