The Band Program at John Hopkins’ Center for the Arts introduces students to the fundamentals of music and instrumental techniques. With instruction spanning brass, woodwind, percussion, and idiophones, students receive high-quality training designed to help them grow as musicians and individuals.

Directed by Mr. Bob Steelnack, the program emphasizes musicianship, collaboration, and personal responsibility through progressive courses and hands-on experiences. Mr. Steelnack’s favorite part of the program is creating an environment where students of all musical levels can learn, thrive, and perform together in multiple concerts throughout the year.
