Chorus is part of the Pinellas County Curriculum. Our chorus, the Melody Makers, is a year-round commitment. No experience is necessary and chorus is open to grades 4 and grades 5. Opportunities such as All County Chorus and All State Chorus festivals are open to Chorus members who are interested. In chorus class, we learn how to match pitch, sing in rounds, partner songs, descants and seasonal pieces all designed to prepare the voice as a melodic instrument. Patriotic and holiday music are explored in the Chorus. We sing at winter and spring times for concerts at school and for the volunteer breakfast. Chorus begins in September and runs through May.

    Student Council

Teacher Sponsor: Mrs. Snare & Ms. Renedo

Student Council is a team of students that are voted on by their classmates as students that show responsibility, respect, and honesty. The students work as a team with the facilitators and Dr. Meils to make the school, the community, and the world a little bit better. Student Council sponsors monthly Dress Up Days where the students can dress up with different themes. The students that participate bring in $1 to dress out of fundamental dress code! The money raised allows the school to purchase items for the school/class. The council also participates annually in the Trick or Treat for UNICEF. This is a fantastic charity that purchases much need items for those in less fortunate countries. Pasta for Pennies allows the students to reach out to those suffering from Leukemia. During the holidays the group sponsors a canned food drive and a toy drive. The president of the student council works directly with Dr. Meils in beautifying the school and helping the students and staff make TSFES the best place to be!
