    Pinellas County Schools offer both countywide programs as well as geographical application area elementary programs.  The family's address determines students the student's geographical application area.

    Middle School Application Program Areas

    While many programs are available to students who live anywhere in the county, several programs have designated application areas defined by school zones. 
     
    North Application Area

    The North County Application Area serves students zoned for Dunedin Highland, Joseph Carwise, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and Tarpon Springs middle schools.
    • Dunedin Highland Middle: Center for Gifted Studies
    • East Lake Middle: Academy of Engineering
    • Oak Grove Middle: Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program
    • Safety Harbor Middle: IB MYP Candidate School
    • Tarpon Springs Middle: Cambridge Conservatory of Academics and the Arts

     

    Mid-County Application Area

    The Mid-County Application Area serves students zoned for Largo, Morgan Fitzgerald, Oak Grove, Osceola, Pinellas Park and Seminole middle schools.

    • Azalea Middle: Academy of Engineering (transportation only provided for South Application Area residents)
    • Largo Middle: IB World School
    • Morgan Fitzgerald Middle: Center for Gifted Studies
    • Pinellas Park Middle: Cambridge Pre-Advanced International Certificate of Education

     

     South County Application Area

    The South County Application Area serves students zoned for Azalea, Bay Point, John Hopkins, Meadowlawn and Tyrone Middle Schools.

    • Azalea Middle: Academy of Engineering
    • John Hopkins Middle: Center for Gifted Studies
    • Mangrove Bay Middle: Health and Wellness Leadership Academy
    • Thurgood Marshall: Center for Gifted Studies
     

    High School Application Program Areas

    Student Assignment / Application Areas While many programs are available to students who live anywhere in the county, several programs have designated application areas defined by school zones.

     

    The North County (N) Application Area serves students zoned for Countryside, Dunedin, East Lake, Palm Harbor University and Tarpon Springs high schools. 

    The Mid County (M) Application Area serves students zoned for Clearwater, Dixie Hollins, Largo, Pinellas Park and Seminole high schools.

    The South County (S) Application Area serves the students zoned for Boca Ciega, Gibbs, Lakewood, Northeast and St. Petersburg high schools.

     

    These schools have unique application areas:
     
    Center for Wellness and Medical Professions Programs 

    Students who live north of State Road 60/Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard may only apply to the Center for Wellness and Medical Professions program at Palm Harbor University High.
    Students who live south of Ulmerton Road may only apply to the Center for Wellness and Medical Professions at Boca Ciega High.
    Students who live south of State Road 60/Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and north of Ulmerton Road may apply to either of the Center for Wellness programs but not both.
     

    Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Programs

    The North County program, located at Tarpon Springs High, is for students zoned for Countryside, Dunedin, East Lake, Palm Harbor University and Tarpon Springs high schools.
    The Mid County program, located at Clearwater High, is for students zoned for Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park and Seminole high schools.
    The South County program, located at Dixie Hollins High, is for students zoned for Boca Ciega, Dixie Hollins, Gibbs, Lakewood, Northeast and St. Petersburg high schools.
     

    Programs without a North (N), Mid (M) or South (S) county designation accept applicants from anywhere in the county.
