A project-based approach to learning enables students to explore answers to difficult questions inside and outside of the classroom. Students are assessed not only on their understanding of academic content, but also on their ability to apply the content in solving problems. The cycle starts with a driving question that students spend the remainder of the project answering by researching, discussing, work-shopping, and, ultimately, presenting.
