Mr. Alec Liem

I am a proud product of the Pinellas County School system! Throughout my K-12 experience in Pinellas County, I attended Highland Lakes Elementary School, Carwise Middle School and Palm Harbor University High School. After graduating high school, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and later received a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University.   I served as a teacher at Belcher Elementary for 4 years and then accepted a position at Clearwater High School as an Assistant Principal.  While at Clearwater High School, we implemented Wall-to-Wall Academies for all scholars!  After leading the FAME (Fine Arts and Media Education) Academy at Clearwater High School, I accepted an Assistant Principal/ IB coordinator position at Largo High School, supporting the newly authorized International Baccalaureate Programme.  I was honored to serve the school and community for over seven years and am extremely proud of the support structures that were put into place for our scholars, resulting in an overall diploma rate of 97%.  Beginning in the spring of 2021, I transitioned to the Principal of Largo Middle IB World School.   I am privileged to be leading such an outstanding and tradition-rich school with dedicated administrators, teachers, support staff, scholars, and the community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or if I can assist you as it relates to the well-being of your Tiger!
