My name is Principal Houston and I am honored to serve as the principal of Bear Creek Elementary. This is my 13^th year at Bear Creek, eight of which I have served as Principal.  I am a native of St. Petersburg and a product of Pinellas County Schools. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Florida and Master of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University. My 20 plus years of service in the district includes the following: classroom teacher, Reading Coach, Curriculum Specialist, Title I Facilitator, School-wide Instructional Coach, and four years as the Assistant Principal of Bear Creek. During the 2014-2015 school year, I was named Assistant Principal of the Year for Pinellas County. Our theme for the 2024-25 school year is Bear Creek’s staff is  Honoring our commitment to ‘Show Up’ for students, staff, families, community, and self. While on our continued journey to success, I ask that all stakeholders keep an open heart and mind to ‘Show Up’ for our students and school community.
