School History

  • Pinellas Park High School, located in Largo, Florida, opened its doors in August of 1976. Because of our nation's 200th birthday, we became known as "The Patriots" and proudly displayed our colors of red, white, and blue. At the entrance of our school today, you will still find our motto, "The Home of Patriot Pride," a motto that exemplifies the attitude of Pinellas Park High students and staff. Throughout the years, our alumni have employed the knowledge and skills they learned here to achieve success in the world. Many times our graduates return to share their successes with the teachers and staff who have helped them to become successful.

Because of Pinellas Park's mid-county location, a variety of programs and services are available here. For example, the Criminal Justice Academy is a magnet program for students who are pursuing law-related careers, and the First Responder magnet program for students with interests in First Response areas..

Pinellas Park High School welcomes a myriad of students from diverse socio-economic and scholastic backgrounds who continue to succeed and thrive after more than thirty-five years of educational excellence.
