Mrs. Arose

My name is Dee Arose and I have been teaching at Curtis Fundamental since 2006.  I have taught fourth, fifth and second grades.  Prior to 2006, I substituted in Pinellas County for 9 years.  I did many long-term assignments in fourth grade because I was known for being able to teach writing.

I received my Bachelor’s degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I worked there for 15 years for the Federal Government.  My last position was with the Administrative Office of the Federal Courts.  I was an Administrative Analyst who traveled to courts to assist the Chief Judge and Clerk of Court in implementing technology and streamlined procedures.

I grew up in West Virginia prior to moving to Washington, DC.  I currently live in Palm Harbor.  I have three grown children; two daughters and a son, and two dogs.  I spend my spare time with my children, dogs, going to the beach, reading, and crafting.  I enjoy teaching and helping my students to become independent thinkers, accept responsibility, and learn good study habits.  I also enjoy the bonds I have created with my students.
