Hi, my name is Zoë Lister (formerly Zoë Hilpl.). I grew up in Skaneateles, NY and graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education.  After graduating I moved to Maryland, where I taught art for 11 years just outside of Annapolis. While teaching in Maryland I received my Masters in Art Education from Towson University.  I also helped write curriculum for the county, worked at the school arts integration liaison and participated in many art shows.  I relocated to Florida last summer after my husband and I got married in Maine so that we could be closer to family.  Currently, we live in Palm Harbor with 2 kitties and a new golden retriever puppy.

I believe in creating relevant and open-ended lessons that allow students to connect to the project in their own way. I love that art teaches everyday problem-solving skills while also giving students the opportunity to explore themselves, their interests and their imaginations.

When I’m not teaching, you will find me at the beach, working on my own paintings, doing a DIY project, decorating the house or spending time with family.
