Hello Tarpon Springs Students, Parents, and Community

I am Ronnie Mason your proud principal of Tarpon Springs Middle School.  In the fall of 2022, I joined this amazing Tarpon Springs community, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my move to Tarpon Springs Middle School.  Thank you so much to everyone for making me feel so welcome. 

This school year I am entering my 28^th year in education, and during my career I have worked as a teacher, school counselor, and school administrator.  Before joining Pinellas County Schools, I worked for Hillsborough County Public Schools where I spent the last 7 years as principal at Hill Middle School.  My undergraduate and graduate work was completed at the University of South Florida where I earned a degree in Education, as well as a Masters in School Counseling and Educational Leadership.

On a personal note, when I am away from school, I love to spend time reading, exercising, and enjoying outdoor activities.  I recently took up the sport Pickleball, and I am currently looking for a good location close to the school to get in some play.  I also like spending time running around with my golden retriever, named “Bear”. 

My goal is to create learning experiences for every student that develop lifelong learners and good citizens.  My belief is that the foundation for this work is rooted in positive relationships with all stakeholders. 

I am so grateful for the opportunity to lead Tarpon Springs Middle School.
