Course Offerings

Mangrove Bay Middle School students will be scheduled into seven period-day with a Targeted Learning period (FLEX Time) for the last 30 minutes of Wednesday and Thursday. FLEX Time elective options will be provided May 1, 2024.
Four classes will be required core courses (one each in mathematics, language arts, science, and social sciences).
One additional required class will be a thematic wellness magnet course.
Two additional elective offerings in Spanish, performing arts, visual arts, or physical education.
Based on standardized test scores, an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), and teacher recommendation, some students will be automatically scheduled into an academic support class for their elective period.
