School Advisory Council

  • School Advisory Council The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of people representing various segments of our community -- parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business/ industry people and other interested community members.

Each Florida school must have a SAC. This requirement fits well with Azalea Middle since our school always has encouraged parent and teacher participation in strategic planning. As required, our SAC includes the principal and an "appropriately balanced" number of "stakeholders." These stakeholders are individuals representative of the ethnic, racial and economic makeup of our school's community.

Our SAC meets at least four times per year in order to monitor the progress of the School Improvement Plan (SIP). Our Council is in charge of the school's improvement budget and the committee provides input to the development and implementation of schoolwide programs and processes as related to improvement planning.

We cordially invite you to join us for one of our scheduled meetings!
