Hello! My name is Tracy Gardner, proud principal of Ridgecrest Elementary and the Center for Gifted Studies. It is with great honor to be a member of your community. Since 2014, I have been serving in an administrative role. Although born and raised in Maryland, my family has long considered Florida to be our second home. We made the decision in 2021 to become permanent Floridians, and we could not be more excited to reside in Pinellas County.

As a former kindergarten and first grade teacher, I bring my primary background when working with elementary students. My philosophy about education is that all students possess the ability to learn and grow. I am extremely passionate about enhancing literacy skills that span all content areas. Creating effective communicators through speaking, listening, reading, and writing is essential. We will prioritize building strong relationships between students, staff, and the community as we strive for 100% student success.

Outside of school, I am supported by my husband, Matt. We have three children, with our youngest being in middle school. In my spare time, you will find me reading, enjoying the beach, or engaged in activities that promote health and wellness.
