Principal's Message

Cypress Woods Families,
 
It is with great pride that I introduce myself as the new principal of Cypress Woods Elementary.  It is an honor to be chosen to lead such an amazing learning community. Cypress Woods is a true community school, with a long history of academic excellence. It is my goal as principal to continue the excellence that we have built here at Cypress Woods, and soar to new heights.

I have spent the past 18 years in education working as a classroom teacher, behavior specialist, and a school-based administrator. Most recently, I served the Cypress Woods community as the assistant principal for the past 5 years. I graduated from Florida State University with a bachelors degree and received my Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida.

At Cypress Woods, our mission statement is “Teach It, Learn It, Live It!”  As the principal, I work daily to support our students academically, socially, and emotionally. I want to ensure that every student at our school is healthy, safe, supported and challenged. I believe in each student’s potential, and understand we are not just preparing them for the next grade level, but for their future. I want each student to be a lifelong learner.

I love working each day supporting the students, staff, and community of Cypress Woods. I look forward to our partnership as a learning community and helping our Eagles SOAR!
