The Manatee Messenger is produced by the students of Melrose Elementary School in St. Petersburg, FL. Every student in kindergarten through fifth grade participates in producing this newspaper. This school year, 2021-2022, the online newspaper is updated regularly. Mrs. Hug is the journalism teacher and Mrs. Windheim is the Media Specialist. There are three Journeys in Journalism Schools: Melrose Elementary, John Hopkins Middle, and Lakewood High.
