Pirate Athletic Hall of Fame, Inc. (2013-2022)

  • The Pirate Athletic Hall of Fame, Inc.(PAHOF)  was established as a 501-C-3 by the IRS as a tax -exempt organization  on January 1, 2013,  to provide a means to recognize the efforts and achievements of Boca Ciega High School, as a Florida non-profit corporation comprised of outstanding former student-athletes, coaches and other distinguished alumni who have brought recognition to themselves and the greater BCHS community.  The mission of the corporation is to perpetuate the Boca Ciega Hall of Fame and, in partnership with the school, to provide: scholarship opportunities for BCHS athletes; develop tutorial and mentoring support for athletes, and to serve as role models to encourage all students to seek physical fitness,  experience teamwork and gain leadership skills  through organized sports.

    With the un-wavering support and dedication of Joseph Lang P.A., Class of 1955, who provided pro-bono legal services in the creation of the organization’s articles of incorporation, by-laws, mission statement , as well as the  creation of the alumni officers and board members. The PAHOF leadership team spans decades of alumni and career professions.

    From 2013 to the present time (2021), the PAHOF, Inc. has hosted (7) annual golf tournaments generating $89,213 in revenue, hosted some 26 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, inducting (117) members into the Hall of Fame. Since 2019,  the organization has awarded $15,000 in scholarships from the golf tournament proceeds to deserving senior athletes, raised in excess of  $15,000 in funds to create (6) campus wide monuments honoring those who went beyond the call of duty in making the school the best in Pinellas County, and most importantly, the PAHOF, Inc. has become a self-sustaining organization for the betterment and support of outstanding athletic students, both male and female.
