PERT is the Post-secondary Readiness Test that is used by St. Petersburg College to determine the readiness of students to take college-level courses. At BCHS, students must take this exam prior to enrolling in most dual enrollment courses.
Students interested in taking dual enrollment should sit for the PERT the semester before they plan to take a dual enrollment course. The PERT is offered twice a year (once per semester) on campus, but students may also register to take the PERT at SPC.
*If you are not receiving an email or text message on Sundays with a link to the principal's weekly announcement, please call the front office at 727-893-2780.
Prior to taking the PERT, students will need to register for their SPC ID and provide their ID number to their school counselor. Please click here for instructions on how to register for your SPC ID.
To prepare for the PERT, students may go to the SPC website and download the study guide or take a PERT practice test online.
