    Casey Maker, Principal

    Greetings,

Welcome to Northwest Elementary School! My name is Casey Maker, and it brings me great pride to introduce myself as the new principal of the Northwest Stars. This school year, I am eager to develop positive relationships and learning partnerships to help our shining stars reach new heights. I am dedicated to enhancing the student experience and helping all students discover their own love for learning and school.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Petersburg College and a graduate degree in educational leadership from Saint Leo University. I have been an educator with the Pinellas County School District for over 13 years and have spent time as a classroom teacher, instructional staff developer, curriculum specialist, and most recently, assistant principal at Midtown Academy. I value the opportunity to work closely with the Northwest community and help our students reach their highest potential.

Northwest Elementary treasures our guidelines for success. These guidelines are rooted in creating a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. An environment where students are encouraged to share positive friendships, think like a problem-solver, and aim for their goals. As principal, I stand behind these guidelines and in support of our students’ well-being. I welcome your on-going feedback, conversation, and constructive input. I look forward to seeing you at Northwest Elementary, where students SHINE!

    All the best,

    Casey Maker
    Principal
