My name is Emily Arends, and I am so excited to teach 1^st grade at Curtis Fundamental! I look forward to working with my students to cultivate their knowledge and achieve success each day in an encouraging and supportive environment. 

I was born and raised in Pinellas County and have found a love for learning here, which I hope to share with my students. I am a graduate of the University of South Florida and St. Petersburg College. I live in Clearwater with my Catahoula-Lab mix and enjoy camping, hiking and running marathons.
