Hello Spartan Families

I am Giovanna Thomas, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve as assistant principal at Tarpon Springs Middle School.

I am a native Floridian and a former student of Pinellas County Schools. In my undergraduate studies, I earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from St. Petersburg College. Afterward, I attended the University of South Florida and earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. I have worked for Pinellas County Schools for 13 years; serving as a classroom teacher, at Curtis Fundamental and Sandy Lane, then as a middle school Instructional Staff Developer supporting Oak Grove and Pinellas Park.

Personally, I enjoy traveling with my husband and learning about new cultures and traditions. Additionally, I enjoy reading, shopping, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

In my role as assistant principal at Tarpon Springs Middle, my goal is to contribute to the amazing work that has been happening for many years. It will be an honor to combine my love of leadership, teaching, and learning with my enthusiasm for building relationships with Tarpon Springs Middle School teachers, students, families, and community members.
