Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Stevenson

Greetings!  My name is Amy Stevenson, and I’m so excited to be at Curtis Fundamental as your child’s 2nd grade teacher.

My qualifications include over 20 years of elementary teaching experience with a B. A. degree in elementary education, Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California, and a current Educator Certificate from State of Florida with the endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages.  I have been recognized as the Pasco County School District’s innovative “Highly Qualified Teacher” in the past years as elementary educator.

I grew up in sunny California and enjoy going back home to visit. My siblings and mom still live there. However, Florida has been my Home Sweet Home for over 15 years.  Mosquitos and humidity still get to me sometimes, but this is where my family will stay put.  My husband’s name is Bill, Connor is my first born already a senior at Countryside High, and my youngster Paulina is a 8th grader at Safety Harbor.  Our oldest is named Victoria that loves the mountains in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

My educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that education is a “family affair.” Partnering with families and communities is what makes a positive impact on our students and our schools.  I will work to create a welcoming and safe environment where all students can develop a love of learning.  I truly believe “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."  I can’t wait to spend the next year learning and growing with your precious children!
