    Seminole High School is proud to announce Mrs. Alana Brown as our new Principal.

    Mrs. Brown’s journey as an educator began in 2006 as a Special Education Teacher at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, FL. In 2007, she transitioned to Hillsborough County Public Schools, where she took on a variety of roles. Prior to joining Seminole High School, Mrs. Brown taught English at Alonso High School, served as an ESE Specialist at both North Tampa EPIC and Brandon EPIC, worked as a District Staffing Specialist, and gained valuable experience as an Assistant Principal at the middle school level.

    A proud Gainesville native, Mrs. Brown is a graduate of P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Communication Disorders from Florida State University, as well as a Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University. Mrs. Brown furthered her expertise with an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

    Dedicated to bridging the academic achievement gap, Mrs. Brown is passionate about creating a supportive and high-expectation environment where all students can thrive. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, traveling, shopping, and pursuing lifelong learning.

    Assistant Principal - Courtney Gicka

    Mrs. Gicka holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from St. Petersburg College, the University of South Florida, and McDaniel College. She began her teaching career in 2008 in Maryland as an ESE Case Manager, where she later became the Instructional Team Leader. After returning to Florida, Mrs. Gicka continued her work in education, most recently teaching at Pinellas Gulf Coast Academy and Boca Ciega High School.

    Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. Mrs. Gicka is excited to join the Warhawk team and looks forward to contributing to the success of Seminole High School.

     


    ap bendingAssistant Principal - Justin Bending

    Mr. Bending holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from USF St. Petersburg. He has been a valued member of Pinellas County Schools since 2012, serving both as a science teacher and a 9-12 Science Instructional Staff Developer. With a passion for education and a wealth of experience in the science field, Mr. Bending is excited to take on his new role in administration as part of the Seminole High Warhawk family.

     

     

     


    ap sinatraAssistant Principal - Lisa Sinatra

    Mrs. Sinatra has been a dedicated member of Pinellas County Schools since 1995. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her Master’s from the University of South Florida. Prior to joining Seminole High School, Mrs. Sinatra served as an administrator at Dixie Hollins High School for 10 years. Her career also includes experience as an ESE Specialist and teaching at Osceola Middle School.

    Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Sinatra is married and has three children and two wonderful grandchildren. She is excited to be joining the Warhawk family and looks forward to contributing to the continued success of the school community.
