The construction industry is booming with over 5% growth each year.   In this program, students gain knowledge in reading blueprints and detailed drawings, perform construction mathematics and gain experience working on projects related to carpentry, electricity, masonry, and plumbing.   

Although graduates could go directly into the construction field, this program is a great foundation for future architects and engineers. 

Graduates will have earned practicum hours with Habitat for Humanity, school-based projects and gained the skills to obtain both the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) and OSHA certifications.

Industry Certifications:

• NCCER Certifications in Construction Technology
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety
• AHA American Heart Association CPR
• First Aid

Student requirements:

• Purchasing annual school insurance.
• Program specific dress code:
  • Closed-toe shoes.  No flip-flops or slides due to safety concerns around machinery
  • Long pants in denim or twill.  No synthetic fabrics due to safety concerns with sparks from grinders.
  • Students are required to wear dark blue polos daily.
