Program Advisory Committees

  • Each program at Tech High has an advisory committee. An advisory committee is a team of individuals from various segments of the community—parents, teachers, students, administrators, business/industry people and other interested community members.

The purpose of the committees varies by program but generally involves reviewing current industry standards, program information and projects, and works to get the community involved in our programs. We are always looking for industry professionals to join our committees to ensure we are preparing our students for what industry needs. Each program meets with respective committee four times per year for one hour at a time. The dates and times of these meetings vary by program. If you are interested in joining one of our advisory committees, email our Secretary, Cathlene Burcham at burchamc@pcsb.org or call 727-545-6405 to find out how to become a volunteer.
