Ms. Jessica Scott
Ms. Scott grew up in central Ohio. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education from the esteemed Ashland University in 2001 and began her career in education at Teays Valley Middle School in Ashville, Ohio in 2002, as an 8th grade Science Teacher. While teaching at Teays Valley, Ms. Scott was also the varsity girls Soccer coach, the boys and girls varsity Swimming coach and the throws coach for boys and girls varsity Track & Field. Ms. Scott earned her Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction in 2005 from Marygrove College before moving to Florida in 2006.
Ms. Scott taught at Meadowlawn Middle School in St. Petersburg, Florida, from 2006-2019. She taught 6th-8th Science and AVID during her tenure. She coached the girls Track & Field team from 2006-2018 while there. She completed her Masters in Educational Leadership in 2014. In her last year teaching at Meadowlawn, she was awarded the 2019 Pinellas County Schools Middle School AVID Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Scott joined the staff at Osceola Middle School in 2019 as the 8th grade assistant principal. Last year, she moved to the 6th grade assistant principal position, joining the rock star team of Mrs. McLellan, Mrs. Carroll and so many fabulous teachers, and will continue there this year. Her motto is to instill a belief that all things are possible, to conduct fair discipline practices and to set high standards for each student that can be achieved through academic and social learning.
