Principal

It is truly a privilege and an honor to introduce myself as your Principal of Lakeview Fundamental. I began my educational career in Pinellas County Public Schools in 2001 as a teacher at Melrose Elementary School. I have spent the last four years as the Principal of Maximo Elementary School where I also served as Assistant Principal before accepting the principalship in 2019. My background also includes being an Assistant Principal at Kings Highway Elementary Magnet for Digital Learning in Clearwater Florida. Although, I must admit my favorite title is wife and mother. I come to you with almost 20 years of experience in education having taught both primary and intermediate grades.

It did not take me long to experience firsthand why this amazing place is called The Little School with the big Heart. My educational philosophy is based on an uncompromising belief in my duty to serve scholars and communities from diverse backgrounds while providing a rigorous and engaging learning experience. I believe that the partnership we share provides the foundation for all children to learn, grow, and thrive.

I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from The University of South Florida in 2006 and earned a master's degree in Educational Leadership from The University of South Florida in 2014. I have been married for 17 years and have one amazing daughter, Elizabeth. I am a member of The New Leaders Organization and am passionate about traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with my family.

I look forward to meeting each and every last one of you this year and I welcome your conversation and positive input. Let us remember students first in all we do. It’s going to be a great 2023-2024 school year!
