Traditionally, written homework is not given on these days. However, teachers still require agendas to be signed. The agenda is your main communication between parent, student and classroom. It is wise to get in the habit of checking this every day.

Do I need to sign my child’s agenda on Friday?
Generally, yes, however this is at the teacher’s discretion.
What is an infraction period?
Infraction periods are six-week time frames for homework infractions and detentions.
What is a grading period?
There are three grading periods throughout the school year. Students are not allowed 7 or more tardies in a grading period.
When should I expect to see my child’s report card?
Students in Grades k-5 receive a report card at the end of each grading period. Kindergarten students also receive 3 report cards. Please refer to the school calendar for report card dates. Three parent teacher conferences are usually scheduled prior to the end of each grading period for all grade levels.
My child forgot his homework or agenda. Can he run back in to the classroom to get it?
Students are not allowed to return to the classroom after dismissal. He may contact another classmate to find out what the assignment is in order to avoid a missed homework. A student/parent may only go back into the classroom after 2:30 p.m. for a prescription item – eyeglasses, medications, etc.
What do I need to know about signing homework?
The PTA provides each child with an agenda at the beginning of the year. (Kindergarten students receive a homework packet each Monday. Assignments must be completed and signed according to the teachers’ directions). A parent/guardian must sign or initial the child’s agenda each school day AND sign each homework assignment. Failure to do so will result in your child receiving a missed homework form, which must be signed and returned the following day along with the missing assignment/agenda.
