If your child arrives after 8:30 am, you must walk your child into the main entrance and stop in the office for a tardy slip. In the afternoon, children not picked up by 2:45 pm will wait in the office. Students will be marked tardy after 3:00 pm (1:00 pm on early release days). Please remember that fundamental school policies are in effect for tardies and absences.

Where do I drop my child off in the morning?
You may park in the adjacent parking lot and walk your child in through the gate next to the parking lot. Or, you may choose to drive through the car circle where Lakeview student patrols and staff are there to assist your child in getting out of the car. Children may NOT be dropped off in the parking lot or at the main entrance for safety reasons.
What happens if it is raining during this time?
Drop off and pick up patterns will remain the same. Children are seated under a covered area while waiting. In the case of severe weather, children will wait in the cafeteria and Lakeview staff will coordinate car line dismissal as each vehicle arrives.
What else should I know about car line?
Traffic moves in a counter clockwise pattern. Remember to place a sign with the student’s name in the front window. Please follow the teacher and safety patrols’ directions and pull all the way forward to allow as many cars as possible to load/unload and keep the line moving. There is no need to exit your vehicle, as safety patrols will assist students with opening/closing car doors.
I can see the car line, but how do I get there?
From 26th Street South, turn east on 24th Avenue South to enter the car line. This gate is open from 7:55-8:30 am and 2:15-2:45 pm.
Where do I pick my child up in the afternoon?
You may pick your child up through the car line pickup or you may choose to park in the adjacent parking lot and walk inside the gate to the court area. Car line pickup lasts from 2:30 pm until approximately 2:45 pm. After this time, students are walked to the office and must be picked up from there.
What is the earliest time that I may drop my child off in the morning?
Children may begin arriving on campus at 8 am. Students will sit in a line near their classroom until 8:20 am and then they may enter the classroom when the teacher indicates.
