• PE WAIVER INFORMATION

     

    Senate Bill 610 requires the equivalent of one class period per day of physical education for one semester of each year for student in grades 6 through 8.

     

    A parent / guardian may request to waive this PE requirement if:

     The student enrolls in another course from among those offered as an option by the
    school.


    Or


     The student participates in physical activities outside the school day which are equal to
    or excess of the mandated requirements.
    Unless your child meets one of the waiver criteria listed above, he/she will be enrolled in
    physical education for at least one semester of each year while in grades six through eight.
    Please contact your school administration if you have questions or concerns regarding the
    physical education requirements or waiver criteria.

    When completing the PE waiver online you are going to pick the option:


     The student participates in physical activities outside the school day which
    are equal to or excess of the mandated requirements.


    o Please note any & all physical activities, i.e.: bike riding, swimming,
    karate, gymnastics, dance, football, cheerleading…etc.
