If you are interested in taking dual enrollment classes you must first apply to SPC and take the PERT test. See steps below on how to take the PERT
How do I take the PERT Test?
Step One: Apply to St. Petersburg College to receive an SPC student number and SPC live email account.
Once the application opens, select High School Programs student.
- Once the application is submitted, the student will receive their SPC ID number and e-mail account.
- The student must activate this account and create a password.
Step Two: Activate SPC live email account.
- Log in using your SPC e-mail address and password
- Your MySPC password could be the same password you created when you first applied to SPC
- Click on the appropriate link to create/reset your password.
- For a newly created password, there may be up to a 30-minute delay for it to be established.
- If you forgot your password, follow the steps below (we recommend using Firefox or Google Chrome):
- Please go to https://myacct.spcollege.edu/AccountReset/
- On the next page, enter student ID and click submit to obtain a temporary password.
- You will need Student ID (your SPC ID #), last 4 of SSN, and date of birth.
- Highlight/copy the temporary password.
- Click on link: Go to Login screen. Type your student e-mail address and paste temporary password.
- A new box will pop up prompting you to change your password to Update your password.
- Paste the temporary again in the Old password field. The ‘old password’ = the temporary password.
- Once your password has been set, you will be directed to the SPC login using your SPC student e-mail address and your new password.

Step Three: Sign up for the PERT Test with School Counselor
Schedule a meeting with your School Counselor to sign up for the PERT Test. You will need to provide your SPC ID number to your counselor at this time.

College Course Placement Scores
University of South Florida
Fall application is open now through the last day of school. Eligibility criteria include:
- Unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Meet the following minimum standardized test scores on one of the identified tests as needed for the requested course:
- SAT: 560 for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 530 for Mathematics
- ACT: 21 for Reading and 21 for Mathematics
- PERT: 123 for Math, 106 for Reading and 103 for Writing
- The course is not available to the students at SPC
University of Florida-

Enrollment Criteria is listed below
- 3.6 unweighted GPA or higher
- A minimum score in one of the following
- ACT 22 or
- PSAT 1130 or
- SAT 1100
Registration Steps:
- Browse the Courses section of the UF dual enrollment website to familiarize yourself with available courses: http://dualenrollment.dce.ufl.edu/courses/
- Discus best course options with your counselor
- Complete the DE Application found on the UF website: http://dualenrollment.dce.ufl.edu/
- Follow up with your counselor once you’ve submitted the application
Pinellas Technical College (PTC) – visit their website
Special Note re: Program Availability:
- Several programs have caps, so earlier applications will get priority for program placement.
Dual Enrollment offerings 2022-23
PTC is now accepting applications for rising high school Junior and Seniors with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.0 or greater for the 2022-2023 school year. For any interested students, please complete and submit the application to your school counselor no later than May 20, 2022.
PTC programs are a full-year commitment and submitting an application does not mean automatic acceptance
