We are proud that our graduation rate ranks at the top among the state’s 10 largest school districts. We have also achieved our highest graduation rates in history for black and Hispanic students.

    We offer a wealth of educational choices, including quality neighborhood schools and nearly 80 magnet programs, focused on students interests, talents and abilities. We continue to launch exciting and innovative programs based on feedback from our families. Our academic offerings are complemented by a wide array of extracurricular programs, including nationally recognized arts, music, STEM and athletic programs. We offer dozens of career-focused programs as well as nearly 70 career-preparation programs at our technical colleges.

    Our award-winning district is the largest employer in Pinellas County, the 9th largest district in the state.

    Kevin K. Hendrick

    Our superintendent is an innovative leader and gifted communicator with a proven record of improving student achievement, working collaboratively and building cultures of excellence. Before his appointment in 2022, he served five years as the district’s Associate Superintendent of Teaching & Learning Services. During that time, our district achieved a record-high graduation rate, topping Florida’s largest school districts, and increased academic performance in language arts and math. Mr. Hendrick, who also served as Director of High School Education, served nine years as the principal of Northeast High School, leading the school to consistently perform at a high level, and earning national recognition for preparing students for college and careers.  Learn More >
