National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week school-based activities:

Many thanks to Carwise Middle NJHS!!  

On Saturday, April 15^th, the Carwise Middle chapter of the National Junior Honor Society sponsored the Carwise Brings the HEAT Walk to benefit the HEAT Program.

Dr. Christine Cantrell, Homeless Liaison for HEAT joined in the kick off with NJHS Advisor, Pamela Himmel, and Ms. Jennifer Eaton, Carwise Social Worker & school HEAT MVA Contact . NJHS members, their families and friends along with school principal, Chad Eiben were part of the crowd of about 90 people that gathered for the second annual Carwise Brings the HEAT Walk. The event raised $1,510.00 to benefit the students served by the HEAT Program.
