  • This office provides the leadership to manage quality processes which offer curriculum support, training and information to district employees through resource acquisition, professional education, information analysis and networking.

    The mission of the office of Career Technical and Adult Education is to support highest student achievement through career preparation and lifelong learning.
  • Career Academies Recognized as Academies of Distinction

    The School Board and the Stavros Career Education Board (SCEB) recognize five academies for meeting or exceeding the academy operational standards.  All of the academies are performing at an extremely high level and are to be commended for their dedication to preparing students for success after graduation.  These awards come with monetary rewards for the Academy.  The career and technical education department provides $4000 for program supplies, field trip and/or equipment and SCEB member DiTEK provided an additional $3000 for any program related expense.

  • Announcing NEW career academy program by Junior Achievement!

    Pinellas County Schools and Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay are launching an innovative high school career academy program proven to accelerate student engagement and academic outcomes in traditional public high schools. The program called 3DE will launch in August 2020 at Dunedin and St. Petersburg high schools.

    3DE is a joint venture between PCS, Junior Achievement and the business community. The program brings real-world connectivity into the everyday academic experience to increase student engagement, strengthen comprehension, build critical thinking and accelerate academic performance. Local business partnerships will provide relevant experiences geared towards entrepreneurial thinking, project- and problem-based learning and authentic workplace experiences. Learn more.
