Ms. Imani Boyce

Hello, my name is Imani Boyce and I am thrilled to be teaching fourth grade at Tarpon Springs Fundamental! This is my seventh year with Pinellas County and third year at Tarpon Fundamental.  I graduated from St. Petersburg College where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am ESOL, Reading, and Micro-Gifted endorsed. My goal as a teacher is to provide a safe and nurturing space for students to thrive into lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

When I am outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time by the beautiful Florida coast, hiking with my two frenchies, traveling, baking, and gardening.

Mrs. Lisa Montie

I'm Lisa Montie, and I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade Math and Science at Tarpon Fundamental. This will be my 21st year teaching full time in Pinellas County. Originally from Pennsylvania, I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University. My husband, Rob and I moved to the East Lake area thirty years ago and consider Florida "home". We enjoy spending time with our two children. Our daughter, Luka is a sophomore at East Lake High School and our son, Rent is a grad student at Duke University. I also enjoy being outside, running, biking, and watching my kids play football and volleyball.

As a teacher, I think it's important for all students to feel special and valued in the classroom. Working in a comfortable environment, students are more willing to take academic risks, and work hard to achieve their personal goals.

Mr. Zachary Van Stratt

I am Zach VanStratt, and I’m ecstatic to be teaching 5th grade Reading and Writing this year at Tarpon Fundamental.  Prior to becoming a schoolteacher, I worked as a professional musician; I was (and still am) a performer, writer, recording artist, sound engineer… I even wound up owning the guitar shop that I grew up with.  However, the most important thing that I have done as a musician is to be a teacher.

Though this may only be my 2nd year as a schoolteacher, I have been giving private music lessons for 16 years.  Along with music and education, I also have a strong STEM background.  I am a certified electronics technician, specializing in the repair and restoration of professional and commercial audio equipment (particularly guitar amplifiers).  Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our cats, reading and writing,

teaching/writing/performing music, and I’m also an avid beach volleyball player.
