    The 2023-2024 school year has been a remarkable journey of achievement and growth for our students. Under the guidance of Mrs. Argueta, we are proud to announce that our students have collectively earned an incredible 244 nationally recognized certifications! These certifications not only validate the hard work and dedication of our students but also open doors to future opportunities in various industries.

    Mrs. Argueta’s commitment to fostering an environment where students can excel has been instrumental in achieving this milestone. She has provided continuous support, encouragement, and guidance, ensuring students were well-prepared to tackle the certification exams. These certifications cover a broad range of skills and competencies, from Adobe apps to Microsoft Office and beyond, equipping students with the tools they need to succeed in both academic and professional environments.

    INTRODUCTION TO ARTS, A/V TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION – TWO SEMESTERS


    The purpose of this course is to assist students in making informed decisions regarding their future academic and occupational goals and to provide information regarding careers in the Arts, A/V Technology and Communication career cluster. The content of the course will focus on learning Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. Students will have the opportunity to get industry certified.


    The students will build a digital portfolio as they go which will be graded as a final project.

    Digital Information Technology - Year Long Course

    * High School Credit


    This core course is designed to provide a basic overview of current business and information systems and trends, and to introduce students to fundamental skills required for today's business and academic environments. Emphasis is placed on developing fundamental computer skills. The intention of this course is to prepare students to be successful both personally and professionally in an information-based society. Digital Information Technology includes the exploration and use of: databases, the internet, social media, spreadsheets, presentation applications, management of personal information and email, word processing and document manipulation, HTML, web page design, and the integration of these programs using software that meets industry standards.


    This course will introduce students to:

     Windows 10 Operating Systems
     Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
     Adobe Photoshop (if we have time at the end of the school year)

    The students will demonstrate their learned skills by getting industry certified and developing a digital portfolio which will include a resume, a cover letter, personal budget, and complete career research.

    Introduction to Marketing, Sales and Service - Semester Course
    This course will introduce students to:

     e-Marketing
     Professional Sales and Marketing Careers Pathways
     Management and Entrepreneurship Career Pathways
     Distribution and Logistics
     Marketing Information Management and Research
     Marketing Communications and Promotion
     Buying and Merchandising
     Leadership and Communication Skills

    The students will culminate with a Food Truck Project where the students will be able to demonstrate all the learned skills from building a business plan to 3D modeling of their food truck.
