Mrs. Candice Metcalf - Principal

Mrs. Candice Metcalf is an accomplished educator and administrator with a passion for fostering student success and creating a positive learning environment. She began her journey in the field of education in 2012 when she started her teaching career in Hillsborough County, Florida.

Mrs. Metcalf spent several years as a dedicated English and ESE teacher in Hillsborough County, Florida, where she honed her pedagogical skills and developed a strong rapport with students and colleagues alike. With a desire to expand her impact on education, Mrs. Metcalf transitioned into a leadership role as an assistant principal.  She is currently the Assistant Principal of Curriculum,  oversees the English and Reading departments at Hollins, and is the administrator for all 12th grade non-program students.  She is committed to student growth, developing positive relationships within the educational community, and helping to shape the educational landscape of the school. 

Mrs. Metcalf earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida. This degree laid the foundation for her commitment to education and her desire to make a difference in the lives of students.  She furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of West Florida. This advanced degree allowed her to deepen her understanding of educational theory and practice and provided an opportunity to broaden her reach.  With a strong belief in continued education, she pursued a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of West Florida, solidifying her expertise in education and leadership.

Mrs. Nicole Holcombe - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Nicole Holcombe was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL and is a proud scholar of Pinellas County Schools, having attended Mt. Vernon Elementary School, Azalea Middle School, and Gibbs High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in English Education 6-12, at the University of South Florida, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. Mrs. Holcombe began her employment in Pinellas County Schools in 2001. She served as a substitute teacher (2001-2002), a classroom teacher at John Hopkins Middle School (2002-2016), an Assistant Principal Intern at Gibbs High School (2016-2018), and currently serves as the Assistant Principal/Coordinator of Magnet Programs (Academy of Culinary Arts, Academy of Entertainment Arts, and Cambridge) and supervises the Science department at Hollins High School (2018 to present). Mrs. Holcombe is grateful to be a part of the Hollins Royal family and takes pride in being a servant leader for students and their families while creating a positive and productive learning environment! Mr. Nathan Lovelette - Assistant Principal

Mr. Nathan Lovelette was born in Burlington, VT where he lived until 5th grade.  He then moved to Lancaster, PA where he stayed until he graduated high school. Mr. Lovelette then attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Specific Learning Disabilities. He also earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. This will be Mr. Lovelette’s 25 year in public education in Florida.  The first 22 years were in Flagler County on the east coast of Florida.  There he served as an Elementary Support Facilitation teacher (5 years), and Assistant Principal at the middle and high school, as well as, the alternative school (15 years) and Principal of a middle school (2 years). Mr. Lovelette moved to Pinellas County in 2021 where he worked at Largo High School as an Assistant Principal over IB and Athletics. The following year he worked at Melrose Elementary School as an Instructional Staff Developer: Behavior Coach before joining the wonderful Hollins High School family. He currently serves as an Assistant Principal over Discipline (9-11 M-Z), Transportation, CST, PBIS, and Technology.  He oversees the Math, ESE, and EL departments.  Mr. Lovelette couldn’t be more excited to join such a fantastic staff and school this year.  He prides himself in being a servant leader and hopes to help create an environment that provides ALL students with the best possible high school experience! Let’s go Royals!!!

Mrs. Leslie Skinner - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Leslie Skinner was born in Wheeling, WV but raised in Barnesville, Ohio where being acknowledge as a Buckeye is paramount! She is a proud product of Barnesville High School – Home of the Shamrocks! After high school, she joined the Unites States NAVY where she was an Electronics Technician, stationed in Orlando, North Chicago, and Washington, D.C.. After serving her country, Mrs. Skinner began her career in business during the “dot com” era and worked extensively on Lotus/IBM Email and Blackberry systems throughout the Midwest. In 2008, Mrs. Skinner earned her first bachelor's degree from THE Ohio State University (OSU) in Business Logistics. Having a passion for teaching and coaching, she earned her second Bachelor’s Degree in Education from OSU (2010). In her first classroom experience, Mrs. Skinner returned to her hometown to begin both her teaching and coaching career in 2011. During that time, Mrs. Skinner taught many Business, Dual Enrollment (DE), and Career Technical Adult Education (CTAE) courses while earning her first master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Nova Southeastern University (2015). Being a lifelong learner and doing what is best for her students, she earned her Masters in Business (MBA) from the University of Akron (2017) to allow students the opportunity to enroll in both DE and CTAE courses. In 2019, Mrs. Skinner and her family moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida where she began her career with PCS at East Lake High School (2019-2024). During that time, she earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education (2023). She now serves as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum over ELA/Reading and serves Grades 9-12 (Q-Z) families at Hollins High School. She is extremely excited to join the exceptional Hollins High School staff and becoming part of the Royal Family that includes ALL students!

Mr. Eric Zebley - Assistant Principal

Eric Zebley was born in Pittsburgh and his proud of his western Pennsylvania Allegheny roots & heritage.  His family moved to Florida when he was still a child and graduated from Clearwater High School.  Mr. Zebley attended St. Pete College earning an Associate Arts degree before transferring to the University of South Florida where he earned a bachelor’s degree in science.  

Mr. Zebley began his career as a science teacher in 1990 at Pinellas Park High School and then opened Carwise Middle School in 1993.  While teaching, he continued his higher education by earning his master’s degree in educational leadership.  In 2001, Mr. Zebley was promoted to assistant principal at Tarpon Springs High School. In January 2004, he transferred to Hollins High School where he has been ever since. Mr. Zebley’s significant contribution to Hollins was creating and establishing our application programs: Cambridge, Culinary and Academy of Entertainment Arts (AEA).  

Mr. Zebley has been married for 34 years to his wife and has 2 adult daughters. He is extremely active and thoroughly enjoys the outdoors.  When on vacation, Mr. Zebley will be found on a mountain trail enjoying nature.  His hobbies include cycling, working on & driving his classic convertible Mustang and getting out on the beautiful Florida water in his boat.
