    Our Program

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a challenging two-year curriculum, which takes place in the 11th and 12th grades. It leads to a qualification that is widely recognized by the world’s leading universities.

St. Petersburg High School's Pre-IB Programme (SPHS's Pre-IB) prepares 9th- and 10th-grade students for the rigorous IB Diploma Programme. Students accepted into SPHS's Pre-IB must successfully complete all SPHS Pre-IB courses and achieve a 2.69 cumulative, unweighted grade point average at the end of 10th grade to be eligible to enter the IB Diploma Program.

    Our Mission

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more
peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end, the IBO works with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
