• Pinellas County Schools Referendum Strengthens Reading Programs

    • A literacy intervention program supports struggling readers in grades K-2 in all Pinellas elementary schools. 
    • All math, science and social studies classrooms have up-to-date reading materials to supplement core instruction. 
    • Funds expand student literacy experiences through various opportunities, including live-streaming musicals and field trips to theater performances. 
    • Middle and high school English language arts and reading classrooms receive materials that would not otherwise be available, including instructional software and engaging fiction and nonfiction. 
    • Teachers have opportunities to train with nationally recognized literacy experts. 

     

    The Referendum helps fund the PCS Book Bus, which visits all Summer Bridge sites and provides books for students. Learn more:
