    A letter of intent to submit an application to start a charter school may be submitted at any time during the school year. A sample letter of intent is provided: 
     
     
    When submitting an application to Pinellas County Charter Schools and Home Education Office the following is required:
     
    1.  One (1) hard copy of Applicant's Charter School Proposal (Model Florida Charter School Application Template)
    2.  Six (6) electronic versions of Applicant's Charter School Proposal (Model Florida Charter School Application Template)
    3.  Please follow the formatting requirements in the Charter Application Checklist.

    FDOE Charter School Applicant Training is Required
     
    Pursuant to s.1002.33(6)(f)2, F.S., an approved charter school applicant must participate in training provided by the FL Department of Education following approval of the application by the School Board of Pinellas County at least 30 calendar days prior to the first day of classes at the charter school.
