• 2024 Autism Design Contest

    Autism Awareness Month will be in April 2025! Here’s a chance to teach your students about autism while also letting them use their creativity.

    YOUR STUDENTS could have their artwork printed for our next Autism Awareness Month t-shirt design!

    Submissions will be accepted until November 8, 2024. The winning design will be picked by WorkPlacePro® and announced on December 9, 2024. 

    One winner will receive:

    • a $500 gift card for school supplies OR fulfillment of Amazon wishlist up to $500

    • t-shirts for your whole class (up to 50 shirts)

  • 2025 Celebration of the Hands

    Children's Week Florida is thrilled to begin collecting hand artwork for the 2025 Celebration of the Hands display in the Capitol Rotunda!

     

    This powerful visual will be the backdrop for the week and serve as a daily reminder to legislators and Capitol visitors that the future of our children is in their hands.

     

    K-12 classrooms, families, colleagues, 

    and all children's advocates are invited to participate in this beautiful tradition. The artwork will be part of a statewide effort to deliver the message that every child should be healthy, ready to learn, and able to achieve their full potential.

  • 24-25 Walker's Rising Stars Junior & Senior Arts Competition

    Attention Pinellas County High School junior and senior students of the arts!  It’s time to apply for the Walker’s Rising Stars Scholarship Competition.  The competition and awards show are administered and produced by the Pinellas Education Foundation in partnership with Pinellas County Schools and the deadline to apply is Sunday, October 13, 2024.  There are 6 categories in the Walker’s Rising Stars program: Dance, Theatre, Instrumental Music, Vocal, Visual Arts, and Culinary. 

    Applications for the Walker’s Rising Stars performing and visual arts competition and the Walker’s Rising Stars updated guidelines are now available here. Apply by going here.

  • FL State Fair Art Scholarship Contest for HS Seniors

    Attention PCS seniors! The Florida State Fair is proud to provide an opportunity for the most talented art students to receive scholarship money for their continuing education after they graduate High School!
     
    The Entry Form is totally ONLINE and is now ready to accept entries for the Florida State Fair Art Portfolio Contest for High School Seniors. The online entry form allows students to complete their entry form as well as upload 7-10 images for their portfolio.

    Why compete?
    Because it's FREE to enter!

    More opportunity to win scholarship money. This year they will be awarding $6,500 in scholarship money to 12 High School Seniors. The first prize is $1500, second prize is $1000 and 10 awards of merit for $400. The scholarship can be used at any accredited institution or college/university where the student is enrolled.

    Digital prints from original artwork will be used in the final exhibition, so there is no shipping of artwork or taking it out of circulation for other competitions. No risk of loss or damage to original artwork

    Online Entry
    We will continue to use the professional online application program called Juried Art Services. Juried Art Services offers technical support if a student has an issue. Having to use an online application process will provide your students a real-life experience as to how this is done by professional artists.

    The deadline to enter is Friday, December 2nd.
