One of the most common questions asked by parents and students is "Which is better - taking AP classes or Dual Enrollment classes?"

For students planning to apply to highly competitive colleges or universities outside of the state of Florida, AP classes provide a standardized curriculum and exam that allows colleges to compare students from all over the United States, as well as the world.

For students planning to apply to Florida colleges and universities, including St. Petersburg College, Dual Enrollment is the most cost-effective option, as most if not all credits earned will transfer.

For students who have not made up their mind, we recommend a mixture of AP and Dual Enrollment classes to cover all bases.
