Pinellas County Schools offers multiple opportunities to allow students to reduce the expense of obtaining a degree while they simultaneously earn credit toward their high school diploma and a college degree. Qualified students take classes at no expense (tuition and books are paid by Pinellas County Schools).

Dual enrollment course grades, as well as Advanced Placement tests that result in college credit, are recorded to the student's high school transcript and also the permanent college transcript.

Students must give their best performance in dual enrollment coursework, as the resulting grades can greatly impact post-secondary education opportunities, scholarship opportunities and financial aid eligibility.

Note: Students who take Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement, or AICE courses are limited to a maximum of 6 college level classes per semester, which equates to at least 18 college credit hours and is more than most full-time college students.
