Seal of Biliteracy

  • The state of Florida passed a law in 2016 to give a seal of biliteracy to students who can prove a level of proficiency in English and another language.  Upon meeting criteria, a student who has not already earned 4 credits in the language in which he/she qualifies, will be awarded up to 4 credits in the language.

Register to take the Exam

  • PCS administers the Standards-based Measurement of Proficiency for Grade 7-Adult (STAMP 4S Assessment*) for the convenience of students & families.  Students must pay the $34.90 prior to the date of the test.  It is paid directly to the testing company.  

    *The state does not allocate funds for these tests. 

     

    EXAMS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WITH REMOTE PROCTORING AT THIS TIME.

     

      
    To register to take the exam, please go to this PCS District World Languages website. Please also view the additional instructions for how to submit your scores to the district. Please only register for the test if you have already passed the 10th grade ELA/FSA with a 3 or higher or have an appropriate concordant score. Students younger than 10th grade should not register for this test.  

     

    Avant Assessment provides sample tests you can take to experience how the assessment flows and the types of questions for all levels of difficulty, but you will not receive a score at the end and you will not experience the computer-adaptive technology as in the actual test. You must complete the Reading before the Writing and the Listening before the Speaking sections.
