Pinellas County Schools Talent Identification Program (PCS TIP)

  • PCS TIP is the option our District established to:

      • Identify and enrich academically talented 7th grade students
      • Assist students and parents/guardians to develop college-preparatory academic plans for 8th grade, high school, and beyond
      • Provide valuable practice to students before the PSAT and SAT in high school to qualify for National Merit and other scholarship opportunities, as well as college entrance

The PCS TIP experience serves 7th grade students with SAT Tutorials and provides them with the opportunity to experience a real SAT.  Students who participate in the TIP SAT are then invited to the Road to Recognition event.  This event includes live presentations with the opportunity for Q & A at the end of each session, prize giveaways, and the option to tour the USF St. Petersburg college campus.  TIP students and families who attended in 2022 & 2023 truly enjoyed the sessions and indicated that they feel better prepared to begin thinking about selecting their child's high school.

For TIP students and families who are unable to attend the 2024 Road to Recognition event, PDF versions of the presentations are below:
