    Plant Operations / Custodians Function

    Performs moderately heavy routine manual work in housekeeping and janitorial cleaning tasks in schools and facilities. Functions follow a well-established routine and involve the use of proper methods and materials in cleaning and caring for buildings, equipment, and schools. Work is performed under direct supervision and reviewed through results obtained.

Groundskeepers maintain the campuses and high school athletic facilities throughout the District.

Groundskeepers I is our staff who performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work in assisting with overall outside grounds maintenance and upkeep. Duties are varied, may be routine, and may include assisting with laboring tasks such as clearing undeveloped land for future construction. Work is performed under direct supervision and is reviewed in progress and upon completion.

Groundskeepers II is our staff who performs responsible, semi-skilled manual work in overall outside grounds maintenance and upkeep with the Maintenance mowing crew or site based at a high school or PTC Campus. Work is performed independently and is reviewed through conferences and results obtained.
