  • What's required to enroll?

    - For academic courses, a 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA or a 3.0 in the subject area to be studied at SPC

    - For career courses, a 2.0 unweighted cumulative GPA or a 2.0 in the subject area to be studied at SPC

    - Satisfactory scores on the College Placement Test (CPT/PERT), PSAT, SAT, ACT, or CLT

    - Transportation to classes at SPC.

    - To remain in the Dual Enrollment program, you must maintain a college GPA of 2.0 (C average).

To register for SUMMER Semester Dual Enrollment courses, you will need the following resources:

    - Follow this checklist to enroll at SPC as a dual enrollment student

    - Students MUST set up their college Live email address prior to completing the permission form.

    - Approved Course List - Use this matrix to see which Dual Enrollment courses you are eligible for.

    - AA Worksheet (SPC General Education Requirements for an Associate in Arts Degree)

Search for Classes - Make sure you are in the correct term when searching for classes. The Summer Term schedule will become available on March 10.

    - Book Pick-Up Information

    • Students who do not return Spring term books to the bookstore at the end of the SPC Spring semester will not be eligible to receive DE textbooks/materials and will also be subject to removal from Summer/Fall Dual Enrollment.
    • Students who do not pick up their books during this time are responsible for the purchase of the required textbooks/materials at their own expense.
    • Book Pick-Up Week is May 12-16 between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm
    • Book Return Week is July 21-24

    Important Information:

    - Students are only permitted to take the courses listed on the approved dual enrollment course list.

    * If a course is offered for the full-term, that is the ONLY format in which a student can take the course. Otherwise, students may take a class in the 8-week session (applies only to summer term).

    - Enrollment in online courses is limited to ONE course per semester AFTER the student has successfully completed dual enrollment coursework on the college campus, as demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher in these courses. You may, however, sign up for SPC LIVE ONLINE blended courses.

    - Students who have not taken DE classes before are limited to ONE summer course. Students who have successfully taken DE previously can take up to TWO courses.

    - Students who were withdrawn from a Spring Term dual enrollment course with a grade of "W" are not eligible to take additional dual enrollment classes until next spring.

    - Dual enrollment classes CANNOT conflict with your high school classes.

    - Class time in courses taken on the high school campus MAY NOT be missed due to travel time needed to participate in the dual campus option.
