• Cambridge Program Entrance Requirements:
     
    Students who apply to the Cambridge Program must meet the following requirements in order to be accepted:
     

    Pinellas County Schools Application Program Entrance Criteria

    Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE)

     Target Group 1: Pre-requisite courses: Algebra I Honors (or Algebra 1 credit through the Credit Acceleration Program (CAP).  Test scores – one of the following or a combination of qualifying reading and math scores.  Standardized Test Scores – Reading and Math Stanines of 8 or percentile rank of 90.  Reading requirements: 6th grade FSA ELA score of 347 or 7th grade FAST ELA score of 359.  6th and 7th grade Final Academic grades (math, science, social studies, English, World language) of A’s and B’s.  8th Grade semester academic grades (math, science, social studies, English, World language) A’s and B’s.  STUDENT MUST PASS THE ALGEBRA ONE EOC TO BE ADMITTED INTO THE PROGRAM.

    Target Group 2:  (Course pre-requisites must be met):  Student who do not meet the above testing or academic grades criteria may be placed in this group based on a common rubric that is used to calculate the percentage of criteria the student has demonstrated.  At least 10% of the incoming 9th grade class will be selected from Target Group 2.
